Abstract
This article analyzes the pathogenesis of motor and cognitive impairments in chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) and approaches to optimizing their treatment. As a result of chronic cerebral blood flow disturbance, hypoxic neuronal damage, white matter degeneration, and weakening of synaptic connections are observed. This condition is manifested by a decline in cognitive functions, memory impairment, attention deficit, and motor coordination disorders. Modern therapeutic approaches are complex and include pharmacological, neuroprotective, and rehabilitation methods. The results of the study emphasize the importance of an individualized approach in improving functional recovery in patients with CCI.
