Abstract
This article examines the concepts of jurisdiction and venue, their legal essence, and their significance within the judicial system. It analyzes the main types of jurisdiction and venue, the procedures for their application, and their place in the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The article also highlights the role of these legal institutions in ensuring the proper administration of justice, their importance in the distribution of powers among courts, and their contribution to the protection of citizens’ rights and interests.
