Abstract
This article systematically analyzes the centuries-long stages of the formation and development of the Uzbek language. The research covers the period from the most ancient Turkic inscriptions and literary monuments of the Karakhanid era to the formation of the Old Uzbek language established by Alisher Navoi and the evolution of the modern Uzbek literary language. Furthermore, the dialectal structure of the language, the influence of Arabic, Persian, and Russian languages, and the significance of linguistic reforms during the independence period are discussed.
