Abstract

This article discusses the pedagogical and psychological significance of memorizing poetry in the process of developing the speech of preschool children. The issues of increasing vocabulary, forming sound culture, developing memory and thinking, and cultivating aesthetic taste through memorizing poetry are analyzed. Methodological recommendations are also given for the effective organization of classes.
