Abstract

The immune system plays a crucial role in protecting the body against pathogens and maintaining physiological homeostasis. The evaluation of immune system changes in experimental animals is an important component of preclinical research aimed at determining the effectiveness and safety of immunotherapeutic interventions. Key indicators include the total and differential leukocyte counts, lymphocyte subpopulations, immunoglobulin levels, cytokine profiles, phagocytic activity, and other functional parameters of immune responses. Comparing these indicators before and after treatment, as well as between control and experimental groups, can provide valuable information about the biological effects of immunotherapy. This thesis discusses the principal immunological parameters used in experimental studies and outlines approaches to evaluating therapeutic effectiveness. Reliable assessment requires standardized experimental conditions, appropriate control groups, ethical treatment of laboratory animals, and statistical analysis of the collected data.
