Abstract

This article critically examines the historiographical texts produced to date on the scholarly legacy of Academician Abdulahad Rahimjonovich Muhammadjonov concerning the history of Bukhara — encyclopedic entries, electronic biographical sources, institutional publications, and educational literature. The typological composition of these sources is systematized, and a number of serious problems found within them are identified: biographical inconsistencies, the risk of conflation with the legacy of other researchers, uneven coverage of the scholar's contributions, and the absence of a unified bibliography. The findings show that the study of A.R. Muhammadjonov's legacy remains fragmentary and unsystematic at the current stage, and concrete research directions are proposed to address this gap.
