Abstract

The article examines the principles of design, functionality, and classification of intelligent instruments used for monitoring and measuring parameters in industrial processes. The structure of intelligent instruments is analyzed, including embedded signal processing algorithms, self-diagnostic and calibration functions, as well as digital communication protocols that enable the integration of instruments into distributed automation systems. Examples of intelligent instruments for various applications are presented, and prospects for their further development are discussed.
