Abstract
This article analyzes the clinical course, hormonal and immunological indicators, as well as diagnostic approaches to autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) in adolescent boys aged 10–18 years. The study included 74 patients and examined thyroid hormone levels (TSH, fT3, and fT4), anti-TPO and anti-TG antibody concentrations, and thyroid ultrasound morphology. The results demonstrated that autoimmune thyroiditis in adolescent boys most commonly presents as subclinical hypothyroidism, with classical clinical manifestations being mild or absent. This characteristic pattern contributes to delayed diagnosis and highlights the need for comprehensive monitoring and early detection strategies.
