Abstract

This article examines the issue of integral assessment of the effectiveness of the organizational and economic mechanism in the food industry of Uzbekistan. The study analyzes production volume, investment, export-import indicators, and functional gaps within the sector. The results show that although the industry demonstrates quantitative growth and increasing investment activity, these processes do not always fully translate into deeper processing, higher value added, and export efficiency. Therefore, the article substantiates the need to assess the efficiency of the food industry based on the interrelation of raw materials, processing, investment, logistics, and market mechanisms.
