Criteria for Repertoire Selection in Solo Performance

Abstract

This article provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the fundamental criteria for selecting a repertoire in solo performance art. The key factors in shaping a repertoire are highlighted, including the performer’s technical capabilities, age and psychological characteristics, audience demands, and the artistic-aesthetic value of the musical works. Furthermore, special attention is given to the harmony between national and modern music, as well as the individual interpretation of the performer.
