Abstract

This thesis examines the theoretical foundations of studying the image of historical figures in literary works. The research focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of historical image analysis, combining literary studies, cultural theory, narratology, and semiotics. The study highlights how historical figures are transformed into artistic images through authorial interpretation, ideological positioning, and cultural memory. The findings show that the image of a historical figure should be understood not as a direct reflection of historical reality but as a culturally and aesthetically constructed phenomenon shaped by literary conventions and historical consciousness.
