Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations of term unification, the improvement of the Uzbek terminological system, and the development of domain-specific thesauri. It examines issues such as synonymy, polysemy, and translation inaccuracies. The role of a thesaurus in standardizing scientific language and organizing terminology is substantiated. The results show that thesaurus development is an important direction in modern linguistics.
