Abstract
This thesis analyzes the institutional role of free economic zones (FEZs) in regional economic growth. Free economic zones are considered as a mechanism for accelerating economic growth by improving the regional investment climate, developing industrial cooperation, and stimulating innovative activity. Also, based on the experience of Uzbekistan, directions for improving the institutional efficiency of FEZs are proposed.
