Abstract

this article discuss modern translation technologies – artificial intelligence. The differences between artificial intelligence and human translation, their role and capabilities are analyzed in depth. At the same time, the future and competencies of the human translator profession are discussed against the background of the development of automatic translation systems. The article also argues that human translator play pivotal role in the future, despite the convenience and speed of artificial intelligence and they cannot perceive some subtleties of meaning and “imperfect” in creative approaches.
