Abstract
This article examines the study of volitional character traits in the works of Soviet psychologists. A comparative analysis is conducted of the theoretical perspectives of Lev Vygotsky, Aleksei Leontiev, Sergey Rubinstein, Pyotr Galperin, and Boris Teplov regarding will and volitional character traits. The article highlights the role of activity, education, and the social environment in the formation of personality. The findings demonstrate that the theoretical legacy of Soviet psychology continues to provide a valuable methodological foundation for contemporary research in personality and educational psychology.
