Abstract
This article examines the pseudonyms of representatives of Uzbek literature, the reasons for their emergence, as well as their linguistic and semantic features. It also analyzes why authors abandon their real names in favor of pseudonyms and discusses the relevance of using pseudonyms in the present day.
