Abstract

This article explores the rapid development of hospitality and tourism in the Republic of China. As one the world’s largest tourism markets, China has become a global leader in domestic travel, cultural heritage tourism, and hospitality services. The study examines China’s diverse tourism resources, the growth of the hotel and restaurant industry, the sector’s economic contributions, challenges such as sustainability and over-tourism, and the government’s strategic policies. It concludes with insights into the role of digitalization and sustainable practices in shaping the future of Chinese hospitality and tourism.
