Abstract
Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the most severe and common chronic complications of diabetes mellitus, leading to the development of chronic kidney disease and terminal renal failure. The work examines diagnostic methods and approaches to the treatment and prevention of diabetic nephropathy. Special attention is paid to the role of kidney damage mechanisms, as well as modern nephroprotective strategies.
