Abstract
This work examines the reflection of national worldview in Karakalpak and Russian proverbs and sayings. Proverbs and sayings act as an important element of oral folk art, embodying the cultural values, life experiences, and characteristics of the people's thinking. In the study, a comparative analysis of the thematic, semantic, and figurative features of Karakalpak and Russian proverbs is conducted. Special attention is paid to such aspects as attitude to work, family, nature, morality, and social norms. Similarities and differences due to historical, cultural, and natural-geographical factors are revealed.
