Abstract
The article examines current trends in the growth of retail lending, as well as the main risks and opportunities arising for commercial banks. It analyzes macroeconomic and institutional factors influencing the expansion of the retail loan portfolio, including the digitalization of banking services, changes in consumer behavior, and regulatory policy. Particular attention is paid to credit risks, the risks of non-performing loans, and opportunities for increasing bank profitability.
